Everyone (humans and pets) comes to the Mutts and Misfits facility to meet candidate(s) that fit your needs.

Mutts and Misfits the Adoption Team works one-on-one with you to introduce and observe candidates' compatibility to find the best match.

The Adoption Contract and fee are completed.

dogs are ready to go home with you on adoption day with Go Home Packet.

Before bringing a new dog home, check that all gates, doors, and fences are in good condition and secure. Dogs,especially intelligent breeds like Boxers, can be escape artists. Use clip locks on gates and ensure fences are sturdy to prevent your dog from getting lost or hurt.

When you adopt a dog from Mutts and Misfits, you'll get their medical records, including proof of sterilization and vaccinations and microchip registration information.

Mutts and Misfits recommends feeding your adopted dog a high-quality diet free of by-products, corn, and soy. Consult a knowledgeable local pet store to find the ideal food for you and your new dog.

While in our care, we feed the dogs Skoki, a Canadian-based company that also produces FirstMate and Kasiks. You'll receive a one-gallon bag of Skoki and feeding instructions when you adopt. Skoki is widely available at local pet stores.

Dogs thrive on companionship with their human families. Avoid isolating your new dog in a remote room like the kitchen or laundry room. Instead, consider placing a crate in your bedroom to help your dog feel safe, secure, and included in your daily life. This can also help prevent accidents and anxiety.
